- Wildfire fuel-load reduction. They spend days “reducing fuel load, cleaning up downed branches, and helping create a safer, more manageable property heading into wildfire season.” That's the same defensible-space thinking in our Respect Vallecito and firewise guidance.
- Bear-smart cleanup. After spotting a mama bear and cubs in Bayfield, they reminded folks to keep dumpsters secure and offer extra pickups so trash doesn't sit out overnight — exactly the habit our Wildlife page asks of everyone at the lake.
